สีกรดย้อม : เป็นสีย้อมผิวคอนกรีตที่มีค่าความเป็นกรดด่าง น้อยกว่า 7 (pH <7) ซึ่งเมื่อทาลงพื้นผิวที่มีความเป็นด่าง (pH >7) เช่น คอนกรีตหรือผิวปูนซีเมนต์ที่แห้ง และแข็งตัวเต็มที่ หรือพื้นผิวที่มีซีเมนต์เป็นส่วนประกอบ สีกรดย้อมคอนกรีต  จะแทรกซึมเข้าไปในพื้นผิวและเกิดปฏิกิริยาทางเคมีขึ้น ทำให้สีติดแน่นคงทนไม่หลุดล่อน ตราบเท่าความคงทนของพื้นผิวนั้นๆ คือ หากพื้นผิวชำรุดแตกหักเท่านั้น
